I did resort to youtube videos to look up how to get some of them. Some of them were tricky and it was fun picking them up. Only when I reached the final boss, did I resort to guides to find all the collectibles I had missed and get 100% items in each area. I did get lost a couple of times, but eventually you learn to read the map for clues on where to go next. The levels are expertly crafted and searching and finding hidden items is fun. The joy-cons are serviceable for rest of the game, but they won't cut it for boss fights. One tip - use a dedicated controller (like a pro controller). Once you figure out each boss' moves and how to react to each move it quickly becomes easy but you'll die a bunch of times till muscle memory kicks in - and then you'll be wondering why the hell it took you so long to beat the boss. Young people may pooh-pooh and claim it was a walk in the park, but for my mid-40s aging bones that bit wasn't that easy at all. The boss fights were a highlight for me, but they were very tough. It can be a bit difficult though (at least it was for me). I finished this game just last week! It was my first ever Metroid game, and I loved every minute of it.
